Presepe in Manarola
Village: Manarola.
Opening: every year, on 8th of December at 18:00.
Closing: on 31st of January (plus-minus a couple of days).
Status: closed. It will be opened from December 8, 2024 and will remain opened until January 31, 2025.
Every country has its own Christmas traditions.
In Italy, like in many other countries, it is an occasion to depict Christmas in different ways (sculptures, theatres). It is called the Nativity scene (crib, presepe). The biggest presepe in the world is erected in Manarola annually, and is opened on the 8th of December. The closing date may change, but usually it is the 31-st of January or the beginning of February.
The first Presepe in Manarola was organized in 2007, and every year many new things are added, and its scale is also increased.
